Arizona Pre-Purchase Vehicle Inspection Service Area
We are an Arizona company and we inspect Arizona cars, which today means the Tucson metro and the towns around it. This is the whole list: every place an inspector currently drives to, what each one is actually like to work in, and where we do not go yet.
Every town we cover today
The service radius runs roughly thirty miles out from downtown Tucson. Inside it, the inspector comes to the car: a driveway, an apartment lot, a workplace parking space, wherever the seller keeps it.
Tucson
Tucson page →The core of the metro, and where most of the cars we are asked about are parked: midtown, the university area, downtown, the east side out to Rita Ranch, and the west side across the freeway.
Oro Valley
Oro Valley page →North along the Oracle Road corridor, between the Santa Catalinas and the Tortolita foothills. Rancho Vistoso, Sun City and the golf communities, where a lot of cars are garage-kept and barely driven.
Marana
Northwest along Interstate 10, spread thin between Dove Mountain, Continental Ranch and the old town center. Addresses here are far apart, so we schedule Marana inspections with the drive built in.
Catalina Foothills
Unincorporated foothills north of River Road. Steep driveways, gated entrances and long private roads, worth telling us about when you book, because getting to the car is half the appointment.
Casas Adobes
The unincorporated stretch around Ina and Oracle, between Tucson proper and Oro Valley. Close in, easy to reach, and often the meeting point when a seller would rather not have someone at the house.
Vail
Southeast past Rita Ranch, where the metro runs out into desert. Trucks and SUVs with highway commutes on the odometer, which changes what the mileage means: freeway miles are gentler than the same number around town.
Sahuarita
Twenty-odd miles south on Interstate 19, built around Rancho Sahuarita and the mine. Newer subdivisions, newer cars, and a straight run down the freeway that makes it one of the easier trips outside the city.
Green Valley
The far south edge of what we cover. Retirement country, which means low-mileage cars with a lot of calendar years on them, the kind where the rubber and the battery age out long before the engine does.
Where we don't work yet
Phoenix is next and it is not ready. Until it is, we are not going to take a booking for a car in Mesa, Scottsdale or Chandler and then work out the logistics afterwards; a pre-purchase inspection is worth something because the inspector is actually standing at the car, and an appointment we cannot reliably keep is worse than an honest no.
The same goes for the rest of Arizona. Yuma, Flagstaff, Prescott and the Verde Valley are outside the radius today. If the car you are looking at is up there, we would rather tell you now than after you have paid us.
If the car is inside the Tucson metro, though, where you live does not matter at all. Out-of-state buyers are some of the people this service helps most: the inspector goes to the seller, the report comes to you, and you decide from wherever you are without buying a plane ticket to look at a car that turns out to be wrong.
